Erika Mercedes, Head of Spectrum and Belonging, Audible, Inc.
Erika Mercedes is the Head of Spectrum and Belonging at Audible, Inc. In her role, she is responsible for leading the creation and implementation of the organization’s global diversity and inclusion strategy, program development and deployment, including establishing metrics and benchmarks, identifying trends in the marketplace, and developing the roadmap that supports Audible’s ability to attract, retain, and unlock the innovative potential of global talent.
Erika has a diverse background in Marketing, Procurement, and e-Commerce. Before joining Audible, she spent seven years at Wyndham Worldwide in a variety of positions across business units, most recently leading diversity and inclusion initiatives. Formerly, Erika has held roles as an analyst and manager at Wakefern Food Corporation and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
She is also an active participant in nonprofit organizations and has served as a board member for the Prospanica (National Society of Hispanic MBAs)- New Jersey chapter. Erika is also involved with the Society for Human Resource Management- Morris County Diversity & Inclusion Committee, the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and serves as a mentor in her community for young professionals. Erika has been recognized as an HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™ from HACR.
Erika attended The College of New Jersey where she received a B.S in Business Administration Marketing, and later obtained an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University. She has studied abroad in China and Spain. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, Enmanuel and their son, Adrian.
