Orkideh Malkoc, Director of Federal Government Affairs Advocacy and Policy, Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc.
Orkideh Malkoc has over a decade of experience in health policy, government relations, and advocacy. She is the Director of Federal Government Affairs Advocacy and Policy at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. In this role, she directs all strategic and policy analytic activities associated with US federal legislative matters pertinent to Otsuka’s business interests. Most recently, she served as the Senior Director, Policy Engagement at the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), one of the nation’s largest physicians’ associations, where she analyzed policy, developed solutions, and identified strategies to advance public policy priorities to government and allied stakeholders. Prior to her work at AOA, Orkideh served as the Director of Reimbursement Policy for a national medical device trade association and was the Director of Government Relations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In addition, Orkideh led advocacy efforts for two other patient advocacy groups. Orkideh graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland – College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics. She also holds a Master of Science in Voluntary Sector Organization from the London School of Economics.
